How to Create an Email Alias on the Cloud Server Print

Overview

An alias email account that does not have any space on the mailserver and only performs the function of redirecting/forwarding mail from it onto another POP email account (or multiple POP accounts), where the redirected message can be saved for the POP user(s).

A popular way to use aliases is to create a sales@<domainname.tld> alias account then redirect it onto all of the company’s Sale’s team members.

Instructions


Create a new Alias email account

  1. Login to the Admin Panel.
  2. Select Manage Products located within the Products menu.
  3. Search/locate a domain name you wish to manage.
  4. Click the domain name.
  5. Click the email.
  6. Click Create a new Alias account.
  7. In the field Alias name enter the employee’s name. Please note: full names can only be separated by a hyphen or a full stop, i.e. john or john-smith or john.smith
  8. In the field Target address type the destination email address. This could be your isp dial-up email address, i.e. [email protected].
  9. Click Create.
